Dunlop Golf is introducing its new "Redneck'' putter line that will begin shipping in January. The Redneck Putters, according to Dunlop, stem from a unique concept conceived by master clubmaker Rick Gray, the designer of Dunlop?s signature LoCo driver.
The putters feature a red anodized aluminum-milled hosel and are finished with with a platinum champagne plate the company said adds to their distinctive look.
By using an ultra-lightweight aluminum hosel, Dunlop said the Redneck putters keep the weight more evenly distributed throughout the putter, positioning the sweet spot in the center of the face, where it belongs. In addition to the more accurately centered sweet spot, Dunlop said the red anodized hosel also softens the impact of the stroke on the ball, resulting in better feel on both long and short putts.
Redneck putter heads, according to Dunlop, are 100-percent CNC milled from a forged block of 8620 soft carbon steel, offering the golfer tremendous feel while not compromising durability.
The Redneck putters will be available in seven different models: Lurch, Airhead, Bubba, Kelsey, Wilbur, Breda and Doublewide. Each Redneck putter, Dunlop said, will be outfitted with bright red premium Winn grips and carry a suggested retail price of $129.
